2017
We entered a space that would shape a new chapter in our story—the Philippine energy sector.
That year, we were given a unique opportunity: to become a technology partner to the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) and the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP). These organizations sit at the heart of the country’s electricity market, and they needed systems that could handle the scale, complexity, and compliance required for the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
Where Collaboration Meets Impact
What followed was a series of deeply collaborative projects, where we helped design and build some of the market’s most mission-critical platforms. These systems continue to play a vital role in ensuring that the electricity market runs efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with regulations.
2022
We were honored to win the tender to develop Philippine Renewable Energy Market System (PREMS), A project of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in collaboration with the Department of Energy (DOE) and PEMC. This pioneering platform was built to support the trading and management of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs)—a step forward in helping the country meet its sustainability and clean energy goals.
We didn’t stop there. We also facilitated a series of technology knowledge-sharing initiatives, bringing the Philippine energy delegation to California to learn firsthand how other markets manage renewable energy trading securely and effectively.
