On August 9, 2024, the annual Crayon ISV Innovation Day took place at the Microsoft Philippines in One Ayala Tower. This event brought together the leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in the Philippines to showcase innovative digital services and solutions designed to help enterprises embark on their digital transformation journeys. The event aimed to inspire attendees by providing them with the opportunity to explore a wide range of IT services and solutions offered by ISVs. As expected, the event was a success, offering attendees a chance to connect with thought leaders and industry experts.

Exist Software Labs Inc., a proud member of the Crayon ISV pool, participated in the event by sharing our experiences working with Crayon. During the fireside chat, we discussed how Crayon has helped us reach potential customers over the years. Additionally, we were invited to showcase our expertise in the Retail and Healthcare sectors alongside other ISV partners.

The morning session featured insightful presentations, including one by Mr. Chas Mann, the Director of ISV at Crayon APAC. He shared valuable insights on how Crayon supports ISVs in growing their businesses. Mann emphasized that Crayon’s ISV Innovation Hub operates in 47 countries, helping ISVs generate revenue through licensing, migration, and incentives. The ISV Innovation Hub is a comprehensive software program that assists ISVs in reaching a global audience, with a process that involves recruitment, growth, management, monetization, and sales with Crayon.

The morning session concluded with a Fireside Chat, where several ISV partners highlighted their experiences with Crayon. Mr. Jonas Lim, VP for Technology at Exist Software Labs Inc., shared how Crayon guided Exist in navigating the Microsoft Marketplace and expanding our presence in the global market. He discussed how Crayon’s support in funding marketing events and proofs of concept (POCs) has been instrumental in positioning us as a global player. Lim also touched on the key considerations for creating our own SaaS application.

Exist Software Labs Inc. Showcases Holistic Digital Transformation at Crayon ISV Innovation Day

The afternoon session was dedicated to the customers who were invited to the event. It featured seven thought tracks, each focusing on solving different industry problems through innovative solutions and services. Exist Software Labs had the privilege of presenting in the retail and healthcare tracks. As a software development company with a holistic approach to digital transformation, we aimed to demonstrate our deep expertise in these sectors.

Mr. Julius Cutaran, Product Manager for Exist Anahaw, discussed “Mapping the Retail Customer Journey” and the need for strategic management of digital, physical, and personal touchpoints. He highlighted how aligning these touchpoints and integrating channels can enhance customer experiences.

In the healthcare track, Mr. Willex Perez, Director for Exist Healthcare Solutions, covered “Transforming Healthcare with Modern Technologies.” He emphasized the importance of technology in improving patient care, communication, and efficiency, and advocated for a shift towards value-based care to address challenges in the healthcare sector.

Across both retail and healthcare, addressing challenges requires more than isolated point solutions, which often remain siloed and disconnected. This approach is akin to trying to fly with one wing, hindering true transformation. Our butterfly metaphor underscores the need for a comprehensive strategy, where businesses must leverage both Digital IT Services and Technical Innovation Components, unified by a digital roadmap. This interconnected approach not only solves immediate issues but also ensures long-term success and scalability, enabling organizations to achieve meaningful, sustained growth.

Finally, we had the opportunity to have our own booth, where we showcased our various services and solutions across the verticals of banking and financial services, energy, healthcare, and retail. This allowed us to connect with other ISVs seeking specific solutions to enhance their existing offerings or expand their business opportunities. We also engaged with companies looking for IT leads who can solve industry-specific challenges for their customers.
