We hope that everyone is safe and warm. It’s been a very challenging journey — setting up this forum. We’ve moved dates, venue, and pushed a big mountain just to get things going. While we never know when the weather would go sour, I truly hope all elements of the earth will cooperate for this forum.
We’re all looking forward to an exciting program on Tuesday. Here are some more details about the program for those who are as eager as I am.
Registration starts at 1pm. You can come in earlier, if you’d like. There will be exhibit tables where you can have a conversation with our sponsors — Exist, Acaleph, EMC, and HP.
Below is a list of the presentations, as part of our program.
Keynote entitled, “The Next Step on your Big Data Journey” is by Mr. Craig Stires, Research Director for IDC’s Asia/Pacific Big Data and Analytics Group, based out of Singapore.
The Next Step on your Big Data Journey
As an IT Executive, you are continually weighing your investment options, when it comes to meeting the needs of the business. Choosing appropriate initiatives for the DNA of your particular organization is a careful process of identifying the next possible steps, from the longer strategic roadmap. Investments in Big Data can be made that match your organizational Big Data readiness, from fulfilling your risk limitation requirements to finding transformative innovations.
Craig specializes in enabling businesses to choose and deliver key enterprise-wide strategic IT systems, focused on Business Analytics, Risk Management, and Customer Engagements. With 15+ years in the IT industry, working across a spectrum of roles from negotiating partner engagements, to managing project delivery, to developing software platforms, he has developed a hands-on understanding of bringing IT solutions from concepts to deliverables. Since 2001, he has worked in Asia Pacific, including some time right here in Manila, working with the BIR to put more taxpayer pesos back into citizen services.
Craig is very excited to come to Manila and he is “very sorry to see that so many people are being affected by the floods there.” He wishes the best. Thanks Craig!
